What inspired you to pursue illustrating?

Ever since I was a little girl, I've had a passion for drawing. However, it wasn't until my son was born that I truly began to actively pursue illustration. As I purchased numerous children's books for him, I found myself admiring the illustrations and dreaming of the day when my own creations would grace the pages of a children's book.

 

What do you love most about the work you do?

I experience immense joy when I see the smiles of children using products adorned with my illustrations. It truly warms my heart! The creative process involved in working on projects and the ability to express myself through drawings is something I deeply love.

 

What was your first job? Was it related to the work that you do now?

My first job wasn't related to illustration. At the age of 14, I spent my summer vacation working as a gardener in the nursery, where I assisted with planting and nurturing plants.

 

What’s your favourite thing to do in your free time, outside of work? Any hobbies or other interests?

In my leisure time, I find great joy in being with my family, going on small trips, visiting museums and discovering new places. Additionally, I have a fondness for reading, practising pilates, and occasionally engaging in the art of embroidery.

 

Did you like reading as a child? If so, do you have a favourite childhood book?

Ever since my childhood, I have had a deep love for reading. Some of my favourite books include Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book, Mark Twain's Tom Sawyer, and Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland.

However, the Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling left the biggest impression on me as I grew up immersed in her magical world. The combination of adventure and magic truly fascinated me.
